This would be my niece who I called “Apples” back in the mid 00’s when was about 30 and I had lost absolutely everything including my kids and was living in a shack destitute. I later got full custody and their mother disappeared after, but ‘06 was the darkest year of my life. Thank you, Apples, you let me know I was still me somewhere and made me want to be me again everywhere, so I pulled up my bootstraps and got to work 💪

Man this hits close to home. I lost my uncle to alcohol a few months ago. He was the coolest uncle out of all of my uncles. Used to check me out of school without my parents knowing to take me hunting. Miss you Unc.

This is why I was my uncles favourite. Even though I was a kid I somehow got him. On his death bed I was the only one that got some kind of response from him when saying goodbye 💛

The time I got to coach my niece’s basketball team…I’ve never seen her so excited and she played awesome! Leading scorer and we won! I’ll never forget the extra long hug she gave me after the game.

went for a beer last week with my fav uncle. we had a blast! later on i sent him a message saying how much i appreciate him and that he brought so much joy into my life. he wrote back some wonderful messages and said he had such a great time too. i will love him forever and have that special connection with him ❤️
