@cindyandpeti: Our Take on Friendship BBQ 🍖 We checked out the soft opening of Friendship BBQ in Duluth—a well-known Chinese skewer chain with locations across the U.S. The concept is solid, but the flavors didn’t quite land for us, and service was on the slower side. Skewers start at $3.49 each or $6.99 for a set of three. There appears to be a cash discount, but it wasn’t clearly explained. The first round of skewers came out fairly quick—but were warm, not hot. We also didn’t appreciate how tipping was handled—staff was pushy about pre-selecting 20% for us instead of just letting us choose. There’s definitely room for improvement, but we’re curious to see how things develop once they’re fully up and running.
