I brought a box of the @RXBAR Nut Butter & Oat Lemon Honey Cashew Butter bars with me and this new flavor has me rationing out my last bar like it’s pure gold. As someone with celiac disease, here’s some more thoughts on traveling: I always say that the more touristy areas are easier to eat in and that has stayed consistent no matter what country I’m in (everywhere from SE Asia to South America to Central America and back). Yes, being in the bread, pasta and pastry capitals of the world does pose some challenges, but it’s possible!! I got diagnosed with Celiac 13 years ago back when people in my own home state barely knew what it was. It has truly blown up over the last decade and I know that makes traveling with it way more manageable. Many restaurants I’ve been to know about cross contamination and are aware of the steps that need to be in place, or at least can tell you if it’s not a safe kitchen. #celiacdisease #solofemaletravel
