Laurel was wrong. I will stand by that, I hate her and not because he didn't support the wedding because that's completely valid but saying no to wedding dress shopping and COMING TO THE ACTUAL WEDDING was horrible, even if I didn't support my daughter's marriage I'd still show up especially if she is your ONLY daughter, you'll never be able to do this with anyone else again. I just hate how she wouldn't even talk about the wedding but also jer and belly should have taken her idea into consideration too, get through college (1 year left) and by the end of it she will support you but they can still be engaged for a year like most couples are and now jeremiah is trying to stop her going to Paris... I don't like them together (although I see why some people do) I much prefer conrad but I feel like belly and conrad won't work even though he's matured because something always happens to make him leave her or be a jack ahh. I honestly am fine with either of them being with belly BUT only cos if she choose bonrad ill be happy they are together and he's happy but if they choose jellyfish then I'm also happy cos belly doesn't deserve conrad

shes not a better mom its two totally differente mother/daughter relationship and two different love life.. lucinda and taylor has a "best friend" relation when laurel and belly have a strict mom relationship and jere and steven are two completely different things

it’s so funny that you’re trying to compare how they’re treating their kids when these situations are completely different. Taylor isn’t even with Steven, while belly is trying to marry Jeremiah. neither of them have graduated college. Jeremiah is in debt. neither of them had jobs, they only got jobs to pay for the wedding. and also an extremely important thing is that Laurel was literally talking to John about how her getting married young really ruined her, so why would she want that for her daughter? not to mention, he also proposed outside of the hospital after Steven almost died and what Laurel said about that is extremely true. if you truly love someone, you can wait a few years. (which neither of them truly love each other)

In my opinion, despite the parents not agreeing with Belly’s decision they can’t stop it. They are tearing apart their relationship with their daughter and missing out on a special day all because their adult age is ‘too young’. Have your feelings, share your concerns, but don’t break the relationship you have with your daughter all because of it. Also. What she said to Jer was NOT okay. Do not speak for Susannah. She practically told him his dead mother wouldn’t be happy or proud or condone his actions but honestly I don’t believe it. From what I saw in season 1 Susannah would’ve supported her boys no matter what.
