The fact that he went from the bottom of FromSoftware to becoming the CEO is insane. That's an almost impossible feat in japanese work culture. Miyazaki is the best game director of all time in my opinion.

the amount of “woah” moments my first play through, walking through the passage to lyndel, the first time seeing raya lucaria, first look at rannis rise, the dlc as a whole, the first time walking up to the erd tree. absolutely beautiful game

The reason Miyazaki says he hasn’t made the perfect souls game yet is bc he doesn’t wanna be the one directing it. Since he’s the writer, he already knows the story. He wants to be in the spot of the player, discover a world that someone else has created. He’s inviting US as fans to create the best souls games from the foundations he has laid.
