I used to be ocd on the cleanliness of my house…like over the top. Then I hit menopause. And while I still keep a clean and neat house, I just don’t care enough to dust baseboards or scrub toilets every day. I realized when I go into someone else’s home, unless it’s just gross, I don’t notice if everything is perfect. So I doubt other people are examining my oven or judging me on a tiny bit of cat hair on an area rug. At 58 I’m tired.

It is nice to have a clean house, however, you have to enjoy your life some too. Being obsessive compulsive trying to clean every spot isn't healthy either. I know people like that, when you visit and you get one finger mark on their glass coffee table and she comes and cleans it immediately making it very uncomfortable to even visit them. My house is lived in and I have had people say how do you keep it so clean, meanwhile it they looked close it isn't spotless. Men should help too if they both have jobs besides in the home.
