Using AI to create and sell PDF guides can absolutely work. The problem is most people think AI is the product. It's not. People buy because they trust the person behind the guide. Authority is what drives sales. AI just helps you create faster. If your guide is just AI slop stitched together from what already exists, you might get a few impulse purchases. But you won't get referrals, repeat buyers, or a reputation that compounds over time. That's why I see this as a strategy that's slowly winding down. As AI-generated PDFs flood the market, generic content becomes worthless. The winners will be the people who combine AI with real expertise, unique experience, and insights you can't get from a prompt alone. AI is a great assistant. It shouldn't be the author.
