@ohhowcivilized: This is an apple cold brew tea made with Earl Grey tea. Earl Grey tea is a flavored black tea and the flavor is bergamot, a citrus fruit, which gives this tea a very unique taste. Since Earl Grey tea has citrus flavor already in the tea, I’m taking out the citrus part of my cold brew tea formula, which is 1 tea, plus 1 fruit plus 1 citrus plus 1 herb. I’m using Earl Grey as my tea, apple as my fruit, and mint as my herb. I find Fuji apples to be sweeter than other apples so that’s what I’m adding here. Since everything gets strained, I cut up the entire apple, including the seeds and core. Cut the apple into small pieces so there’s more surface area for the fruit to infuse into the drink. The tea, cut up apple, and torn mint goes into a container. Add cold or room temperature water and refrigerate for 12-24 hours. Strain out the solids and it’s ready to drink! By the way, if you love Earl Grey tea, you need to cold brew it! It’s super crisp and the bergamot flavor really comes through.
