So when you’re dealing with narcissists, you have to understand that the ONLY way they will eventually back down and agree with you is if they FIRST have the opportunity to berate and belittle you. ALL you have to do is sit there silently and nod - understand it’s JUST their narcissism showing, and by following a few simple steps you TOO can survive ANY interaction with an EGO inflated tyrant! All you have to do is apologize for WHATEVER they accuse you of (even if it’s baseless and/or against the law) and then after you apologize just wait bc they’re gunna THEN hit you with a barrage of insults and injuries to ensure that you get knocked down a peg and learn that THEY are more powerful then you are. Now feel free to add in some of your own facts - bc of course they have to believe you’re truly remorseful for your terrible behaviour - just know that ANYTHING You say that is logical and AGAINST their goal (which is to belittle and berate you and PROVE they are ultimately right and you’re wrong) will only result in you having to sit through MORE belittling and beratement from them (you can’t just change your tune suddenly and start blanket agreeing with them or OVER apologizing bc if they don’t believe that you’re being hurt by them they will escalate their own attack) … I’ve found it’s best to resort to telling them about some shitty things you’ve been dealing with and just how horrible those things have made your life bc they do seem to get some joy out of that: it FEEDS them. OR you can ask them questions to help inflate their ego even further! But if you can just take it on the chin, and know that their karma will one day be sweet as summer sunshine, you’d be surprised how easy it is to come out the victor of ANY conflict with a narcissist. I PROMISE you if you play your cards right, by the end of the conversation ALL narcissists will end up agreeing with you - they won’t appologize BUT they WILL start saying things that contradict what they were arguing about and THATS how youll KNOW they are nothing but an insecure, pathological liar, with ZERO empathy & the capacity to ONLY love themselves (& now you can spread that truth so that EVERYONE can be safer!)
