My heart hurts for your daughter and you. My brother SA’d me over the course of many years into our teenage years. And my mom did nothing. She knew and she did nothing. I confronted her about it as an adult and she denied and gaslit and dismissed. Thank you for taking it seriously.

I found out that during my daughter’s visit with her father, that her half brother was trying stuff with her. She was 4, he was 7. Thankfully she told me about it before he was able to touch her. So physical contact hadn’t been made yet but the fact that he was trying to manipulate her into things was undeniable. When my husband and I learned about it we ended visits immediately and took her to see a dr that works on a lot of these cases. The drs opinion was she was telling the truth so I called the cops. The officer’s advise was for us to get the kids together and go talk to our pastor…….. she never went back. Bio dad never believed her and even gave the dr wrong info in an attempt to prove my daughter was lying.He maintained that he had to protect himself and his sons. He eventually agreed to terminate his rights so my husband could adopt her.

I’m sorry if you have answered this before but you said your daughter has a relationship with her biological family too, does your son share that relationship with them or have they disowned him ? Xx

He reminds me of a specific 2 episode plot that transpired about 8 years apart on law and order svu where the young man in the plot scammed the entire system and the mental health workers in order to get out and repeat the cycle again. thank you for sharing your story because I hope it helps others 💙
