There will be a museum in destin (where they are planning to sink her), she will become an artificial reef which will help sustain millions of living organisms which in turn will help with the climate crisis as the ocean produces at least half of the worlds oxygen, it will also be turned into a tourist destination which will help the local economy and people are much more likely to travel to than a museum, her story is not over it’s just starting a new chapter, this is going to be a GOOD thing, I promise!!

My grandmother sailed on her maiden voyage and many times after…was so blessed to hear so many wonderful stories. She died a few days before the SSUS began its final sail from Philadelphia to Mobile. While it’s not the ending many hoped for, it’s beautiful for my family that more people now know about this incredible vessel❤️
