I thought they were so adorable as teenagers, loving each other despite the stigma and circumstances. But then they grew up and Tai married Simone, someone else, and had a child with her. So in the adult timeline it’s true that Tai and Van’s love is very alive and well but she also left the family she created for her highschool girlfriend- which I don’t understand how people can condone. However they’re both very flawed, complex characters so I guess it makes sense in that unpleasant but realistic sort of way.
