the way no one likes to mention the fact that armand saw this as a mercy kill (IT WSNT BUT HE SAW IT THAT WAY) bc of how much of himself he saw in claudia and how he truly couldnt fathom louis’ attachment to her bc no one ever loved him the way a parent should… IM ILL!!!

ooooop people do noooot like, nor apparently have the capability to understand, nuanced takes at all 😬 yes Armand begged to be turned & yes Marius (his legitimate abuser but mkay) wanted him to live a full life but Armand worshipped Marius because he ‘saved’ him from the brothel which he viewed as infinitely worse and didn’t realize he was just being moved from one situation to another, the latter just being gold-foil covered & rose glasses tinted. informed consent vs uninformed are very different, no matter which way you slice it. and yes, Claudia’s situation was absolutely terrifying and horrible, especially if you think of her book age. one thing does not negate the other. I’ll never understand why new folks in fandom have the inability to hold two thoughts at once.
