I was diagnosed with Non Differential Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma. A CT found the spot but the biopsy confirmed the cancer. Without a biopsy how would someone know if it is cancer or not? I'm confused

I wouldn’t argue with you at all. Asking my opinion as a patient though, I would want to know why some of the recently researched and discussed methods such as liquid biopsies and ultrasound (mentioned last year in Physics) wouldn’t be an option for my or my family’s type of cancer.

I agree with all your saying and understand the physiology. Do you think there are times that performing a biopsy doesn’t alter the standard of care? In those cases it may be safer to skip the biopsy.
