My friend is an accomplished corporate attorney, but she has a LA accent with vocal fry and people underestimate her all the time. However, she uses that to her advantage and I’m sure you can too. the vocal fry is very connected to the Kardashians and tons of people really hate them. That " Loudermilk Talk Like That" video in the coffee shop is dead on. I'm from LA and nobody talked like that until Kim made that video. The "up speak" where you raise your tone at the end of every sentence like you're asking a question started with the Valley Girl phenomenon of the 80's, like oh my god?
