bruh mechatronics from where i am from takes everything form thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, theory of machines, mechanisms, heat and mass transfer, materials and vibration so pretty much the big mechanical engineering hitters but add on them like some programming languages, power electronics, electromechanical systems , control theory, simulation and other stuff from electrical engineering sounds like engineering to me software and architecture are not engineering to me since they don't take math 3 also i did study alot of programming and yea noway is software actual engineering except in some cases where people create compilers and deal with hefty maths but that's not even taught in most software engineering colleges ik cuz i did a lot of research on different majors before deciding on one
