Incorrect wick size or placement are usually the main reason - but also for some (unlikely to be the case for you!) could possibly be that the initial burn didn’t last long enough to cover the whole top layer of the candle, i.e the candle gets blown out before the whole surface area (to the edges) is lit (tip from a hobby candle maker/chandler).

Put some alfoil around it and leave it a little open at the top while it is lit and it will fix it 👍 oh love the diptyque candle for holding matches , can’t wait for my candle to finish now

My cucumber one tunneled too. Had to wrap foil around it to even it out and no matter how often I tried it never fixed. It did it all the way to the bottom 🫠

get some soy wax and refill the one you have with 3 wicks when it's done. Keep the aesthetic but make it better for less
