It’s clear people don’t understand the law. Just because a government building is public property does not necessarily mean you can film in it because it’s public. The Supreme Court set up forums in PEA v PLEA in which there are traditional public forums, designated public forums, limited public forums, and nonpublic forums. Most Government buildings are considered limited public forums or nonpublic forums. In either case, they can restrict free speech activities, as long as those restrictions are viewpoint neutral. This means they are within their rights to have such policies as banning filming. If you violate that policy, you can be trespassed. If you refuse to leave, you can be arrested.

The chief of police knows the law he’s dancing around it. You might not like what Josh does, but he is 100% correct and the chief should inform the people in the building the law.!! And the Josh can’t do what he’s doing
