I get where you're coming from, you're seeing it the wrong way. Not only is He jealous, He even in one scripture uses it as His Name. Love is by nature jealous, but it's not like human jealousy. God’s jealousy is holy. He desires exclusive love & loyalty because He alone is God. “The Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.” Exodus 34:14 For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God. Deut 4:24 I will not give My glory to another. Isaiah 42:8 He jealously longs for us... James 4:5 God’s jealousy is like a faithful person refusing to share their spouse. It’s about love, covenant, and loyalty. It's not referring to the kind of ungodly (and lowly) envy and jealousy we get, something God would never have. Hope that helps. He’s not jealous of us, He’s jealous for us.
