A lot of times there isn’t enough overhead storage for everyone’s carry ons. If they run out of space they check your bag. I’m not dealing with baggage claim lol

Usually people that do not travel much stay seated. They never had to check in their bag before and have a bag missing or waiting an hour for it.

We only travel with backpacks. We are the last on the plane. We like to watch the joy drained from people‘s faces when they realize they are not getting an empty seat next to them

I always fly first class. It's not that much more when booked in advance and you get onbthe plane early and they serve you cocktails while others are boarding and fighting for overhead storage because people will show up with 6 bags and refuse to check anything.

It has happened to me. They overbooked the flight and I literally watched my boarding pass be available to click on one second and not the next. Then they acted like I never had a boarding pass in the first place and I had no way to prove I did.

it isn't as bad as the plane stopping and immediately everyone has to stand up and rush to get there luggage only to stand there for 15 minutes 😒

You can board a zone before yours. They’ve never told me that I have to wait for my zone.
