how do you feel about a platonic friendship with an ex you don't have children with while in a relationship? Do you think a platonic friendship is possible after a breakup? I personally don't see a reason for my partner or I to be friends with ex's, because i don't believe both parties can completely eliminate romantic feelings for each other and be strictly platonic in my opinion

I talk to my ex husband almost daily. No kids together but we’ve been best friends for 27 years. My husband knows and doesn’t care.

I had an ex congratulate me on my marriage and the birth of my child. My husband and I thought it was very thoughtful. I agree if it was a situation of someone trying to end the relationship, but simple conversation with someone isn’t an issue.

My ex told me I couldn’t speak to my son’s dad even ABOUT my son. It was “weird” that we coparented well. That’s so toxic to kids.

I think it always comes back to intentions! If I run into my ex from a decade ago and he’s out with his kids. I say hi how are you and move on! I think if you avoid there’s some weirdness you need to work through!

My ex husband has came and stayed the night at my home with me and my husband so he could get up and leave the next morning for a camping trip with OUR boys !! We all are mature and know where each person stands in our lives !!
