@everydaywithindie: Things I learned on our first ever camping trip 🏕️🌲 Let me just say — prepping ahead made all the difference. We pre-cooked and pre-packed as much as we could, especially food. One game changer? Scrambled eggs in a jar — already whisked and ready for omelets, egg sandwiches, or a quick breakfast scramble. We also pre-boiled eggs to throw into ramen or use as snacks on the go. 🙌🏽 Speaking of ramen… instant ramen became a five-star meal when we added lime, fresh cilantro, and soft-boiled eggs. It was warm, filling, and perfect for rainy nights when you don’t want to grill outside. Don’t sleep on ramen! 🍜 Other tips that came in so clutch: • Pack bikes + helmets if your site allows — the kids LOVED riding around the campground. 🚲 • Bring ponchos and rain gear just in case — you’ll thank yourself later. ☔ • Insulated mugs with lids are a must! Not just to keep drinks hot or cold, but to keep bugs out while you sip by the fire or lake. 🐜 • If you’re camping by water, go visit it with the kids. It was such a grounding and magical part of the experience. 🌊 • And last but not least — bring the men for the heavy lifting 😂 Setting up camp isn’t for the weak! If you’ve never been camping, don’t overthink it. Prep what you can, keep it simple, and enjoy the moments.
