This is the second “you have to stay for 24 hours” video in my FYP today. First one was a white woman and it went down the same way 😬 This is a universal problem in the medical system for women.

I couldn’t walk 5 hours after any of my c/sections I couldn’t have left if I wanted too. My oldest I don’t remember 12 hours of his life. From 6pm the day I had him till 6am next morning I remember nothing .

I had a nurse call cps when I was pregnant because I came in thinking I was having contractions it was my frist pregnancy didnt know about Braxton kicks and she told them I seemed younger then I was telling them (I was 19) and that I was very unkempt I have always struggled with oilly hair a day after washing depending on the day hours after a shower and back then no deodorant worked no matter how often I put it on until I found stress response deodorant had worked wonders. then when I finally gave birth to this baby they called on me again due to me feeding my baby every 3 to 4 hours really when she showed signs because I did the every 2 and shed puke right after so 3 to 4 worked best for her but they wouldn't listen to me about it

I remember the staff encouraging my wife to go home and shower after our son was born. she refused unless my mom or dad was staying with me. glad for it. my nurses were amazing, but the doc on call was a piece of work.

not to minimize this young lady's experience in any way because she was treated horribly and was racially profiled, I remember having my first baby at 19 and not being allowed to hold him because they thought he was born addicted due to being so small. I begged to hold him and was threatened that he would be taken permanently.
