see how Yoshiki is holding "Hikaru's" hands because he longs for the real one? but isn't actually looking at him therefore not acknowledging him? Because Yoshiki is looking at the portrait of Hikaru, wishing that were really him instead of a lie. Meanwhile "Hikaru" refuses to acknowledge Hikaru and doesn't want to be reminded he's only a replacement, he is also looking at Yoshiki, wishing he'd look at him too. Notice how both "Hikaru" and Yoshiki are both in the dark, and Hikaru is the light? How they both just cast shadows?
