@quintongiblet: A baby Texas horned lizard (aka horny toad) in Oklahoma is a tiny, prehistoric-looking creature, about the size of a nickel at hatching, growing to 2-4 inches. It’s not a toad but a lizard, with a squat, spiky body, two small horns on its head, and a short, pointed tail. Its red, brown, or gray skin with irregular spots blends perfectly into sandy or loamy soils. These cuties munch mainly on harvester ants, using their camouflage to stay still and avoid predators.
