Running a business is all about learning, with every launch you learn something new. When things don’t sell as you’d hoped, you analyse the possible reasons and make changes for next time.I’m lucky enough to be able to say that my art sales are still thriving but there is the chance that a certain design may not resonate as well.It could be price, style, colour, timing etc….!My first ever limited edition launch was such a huge success, it sold out within 48 hours and left people upset that they’d missed out. My normal process is to paint as I go, so I’m not left with stock if it doesn’t work out. 2 years later I launched this very similar piece and felt so confident that I painted the entire edition of 100.I still have 60% of this edition left, all beautifully painted and waiting for loving owners. Things I learnt:- Don’t over stock! Then I won’t need to discount!- You win some, you lose some, not every single launch will be a success and that is the nature of the game!If there is ONE single thing that I pride myself on it is honesty. Honesty in business is of the upmost importance. These artworks are certainly amazing, there is no lying there! But they are being discounted to 60% off because they didn’t sell out and because I want them to find loving owners.This isn’t something I have ever done and hopefully as I learn along the way I won’t need to in future. But I need to give these beauties a helping hand.They were £175, now £100 with an additional 30% off in the winter sale! All art prints are currently 30% off!
