Doing surgery for frozen shoulder is absolutely criminal. It is self limiting MEANING it will always self resolve. Surgery should be used as a last resort ie. Bedbound patients in severe pain

considering the inflammatory, fibrotic nature of AH, I never understood why a MUA was ever considered a good option. i believe evidence suggests that while MUAs provide rapid improvements in ROM, there are clear complication risks such as capsular tears, fractures, Labral issues, RC tears, and others. that and recovery time is roughly similar to simple conservative treatments, minus the risks. not to mention the incidence of ReFreezing is not zero, considering the nature of the condition and of this procedure.
