Hey I don’t think the ethics are black and white like this. In this specific scenario, I think its okay to ask them if they’re opening to hear a message. And if they say no obviously don’t share it. I get you don’t want to do drive by readings but for something so supportive like this it can be incredibly meaningful- it’s worth it to ask. More people are probably open to it than you’d imagine.

As someone who is empathic and lots of things happen, that would take too much time to explain sometimes you’re getting messages for a reason and they need to be said. I would grab that order and say your mom says don’t stop making music. Then you could say she’s literally yelling at you right now and I can hear the song don’t you worry child. Then at least you don’t have to worry about awkwardness you have the order just go lol
