I used to have hamsters that loved the wheel. Unfortunately, no one else did because it would squeak all night long 🤣

You're already doing very well for being a new mouse owner. I would recommend adding more things to the cage, as there's lot of open space that can make them nervous. Just random clutter like hides, egg cartons, more tunnels... Anything that they can dash in and out of.

You have an amazing set up. I didn't see it, but are they getting a meat/protein source? The fancy mice breeders I used to know used to give premium (high protein) dog biscuits to their mice.

As someone who used to have plenty of hamsters, I’m not sure if this translates between different rodents lol, but maybe if there’s some way to get them even a little more burrowing depth, I think that might not be a bad thing to look into!

I’m not a fan of rodents until my son bought some expecting them to be snake food lol and his daughter fell in love with the rats and the snakes wouldn’t eat them so them became pets lol they are super smart

They are so cute!!!! I didn’t know they had fancy. I used to have feeder mice. I never fed them to snakes. I actually rescued them from my next-door neighbor who had a snake.
