Now do the same statistics but without 30 year olds who were gifted a down payment from their parents or took over a family home. 😅

My daughter and son in law live in a 5,000 square ft home. They started out in a Townhouse. But they both have worked extremely hard running a business. It is a blessing to know that I raised her with morals and values. You have to work for things in life like a home. They are very blessed. They know the value of a dollar and aren’t in debt with credit card bills. I wasn’t handed anything on a silver platter nor were my kids. We paid for college, and my daughter worked 2 jobs. I couldn’t be more proud as a mother. These kids today have been handed a silver spoon and they don’t know how to do anything in life without mom and dad to do it for them. I’m sorry these kids today have no morals and values that doesn’t apply to all kids. my parents didn’t hand me anything they thought me morals in values, and hard work truly pays off. This is what kids who are now adults today have know idea how to live in this society. The couldn’t survive the 80’s or 90s era

It's not intrest rates!!!!! Boomers bought homes with 8%+ intrest rates. Home price inflation and
has blown past normal inflation levels. A 400k home should be around 185k.

Whats crazy is rent is $1800 - $2100, But the bank won’t approve a loan for $1000. Sir, if someone is paying $2000, they can afford a mortgage.

The Boomers need to be made to step down. They’ve been in power too long are out of touch and they’ve only run things into the ground for the last 50 years. It’s enough already

House prices needed either fall by 200+ thousand dollars or everyone’s away just needs to go through the roof. You could adjust the minimum wage to 66 bucks an hour. Or you can make so many homes available it would drive the price down because the availability would be everywhere. Supply and demand I believe that would be a lot easier to accomplish. You can start by freeing up millions of acres of federal land and incentivizing home builders to build homes worth less than $200,000. With property and land make it so abundant it would have to be cheap to sell.

I’m 28 we bought a home in New York I’m a nurse and my husband works for the city we just had our first baby. I regret buying a house we’re drowning and he’s 3 months old. I would love to have more kids but it’s not feasible and this is why the fertility rates are down. Normal middle class couple can’t even make it on our feet but we support everyone else who does nothing

At one time, only one person in the family needed to work, in order to pay the bills. Then, it became necessary to have 2 incomes, in order to own a home, and eat and have a car or 2. Now it's becoming difficult with 2 incomes.

I’ve owned a home since 2014. I was 26 when I bought it. I bought a cheaper home and built up equity. Bought a better home this year. I’ve seen homes priced now the same they were back then. Same condition. I spent 11 years updating that house. DIY. Every room. Younger generations now want what I have now. For some reason a whole generation decided they need brand new homes and get to skip 10 years of work and good decisions.
