I’ve always thought being a kpop stan is basically like being a sports fan. Wearing the team colors via merch/lighsticks, people getting mad if you’re wearing the opposing teams colors sometimes, the fan wars, the chants/singing… the way events like kcon are set up too, like you said. It’s the same vibe, just for a different demographic.
