As an ex Roblox developer please stop listening to these teenagers who think they aren’t kids telling you Roblox was never for kids. It was for kids, the problem is we kids grew up and they want to incentivize us staying in that platform so we can develop games, which sounds good on paper but has proven not to work, yea there are parental controls, but Roblox is actively blurring the lines between games meant for kids and adults and that just doesn’t work.

Online games aren’t for children. Even if they’re marketed to kids, it’s our job as parents to understand the risks of being online. I know many parents are gen x who didn’t grow up on the internet like millennials and gen z, but it has ALWAYS been dangerous. It’s never been a safe space for kids. That’s a given.
