Hear me out having been that good person. We have low self worth, we tolerated the horrible behaviour, often due to it’s all we have ever known, but we also forgave without an apology or changed behaviour, we blame oursleves, we couldn’t set boundaries so we over gave, we lost ourselves trying to fill someone else’s cup because we didn’t prioritise ourselves, likely anxious attachment style and we are people pleases. So those who treated others poorly need to work on themselves and heal and so does the good person. Instead often we don’t and stay on a vicitim mindset and become resentful, bitter etc- essentially work on yourself or bleed all over the next person or hurt them and be prepared to meet the same person with a different face.

The thing is that I would have never given up on my ex. He pushed me away and it broke me but I healed and met my man who has been everything I wanted me ex to be since our first date. I’ve never felt more safe, loved, cared for and secure in a relationship. Doesn’t matter who does the leaving. If a relationship ends it’s because you are not meant to be and there is someone way more aligned around the corner. I can’t unsee this fact now
