Because we’re in an age of convenience and it’s not a necessity to survive anymore . It’s not like there’s people trying to purposefully not know these skills. Same as someone who lives in an inner city doesn’t know how to hunt as well. Not knowing somtheing is simply just a lack of being taught it’s not that deep
