She struggled through the bar routine.. you can tell she was tired by the end of it, and she has had issues with her bar dismount for a while now. There really was not much he could do in the moment.

it was both theres she shouldn't have went for it if her grip was slipping which it was and the coach shouldn't have gave her that kind of dismount that she wasn't ready for or at least spot her

her giants looked weird and i noticed her bent arms when i was watching it live so i wasn’t super shocked when her dismount was off

Nothing he could have done. He was under the bar, he couldn’t have gotten to her in time to safely catch. If he ran forward to try to save it could have injured them both bc he was rushing.

She tapped too early so she didn’t have enough power or hight to get her dismounted landed it’s not her fault and it’s not his fault it was just a mistake which happens sometimes and all gymnasts should know that
