my dad put the large gates that close on both sides of the tunnel! it's my favorite lore to tell my children now 🥹 I've only been there once, & also finally checked Valdez off this year! what a fun adventure!

In the 70’s you could only get to Whittier by train, plane or boat. So great they accommodate drivers now!
