I’m a cop in NC, this is not true. But I guess the fear of the idea helps with safety. We do have license plate readers though that run for felony warrants and stolen cars

I wish L.E.O’s would actually write tickets for distracted driving. It’s nuts out on the roads. People constantly looking down at a phone. We haven’t rode our motorcycles in 3 years because every time we did we had to make evasive moves to save ourselves from being hit all because the all mighty phone was more important than folks actually driving safely. I know it was about 10 years ago when they said on all the news that the state highway patrol was going to start writing more tickets for distracted driving.. We haven’t seen any changes. Sorry, I know, you can only speak for your department. Thank you for your Service 🫶🏻🙏🏼

THIS IS NOT TRUE! Those AI cameras are only for tractor trailers, and it only senses if the driver is wearing his seat belt or has a phone on his hand. I know, because I got a seat belt ticket by one at exit 58 in kannapolis. it does not do any of the other stuff he said!

yeah it's been like that up in the mountains for 10 or 15 years. He is rite. they set in office watching.. NC doesn't require a driver's license anymore..
