im a sword of kaigen hater, it was all over the place and had a really unsatisfying end. like, no big impacts on their society, there's still rampant misogyny and the emperor still has control. and yeah it's unfinished but i see why, what's there really isnt solid enough to build a series

I don't get the Sword of Kaigen, semi spoilers here. But it has a great magical system and great battle, but then just kind of ends. They talk about how they were manipulated and then were just like cool with it at the end and didn't try to change anything. Ending fell off for me.great up until then though.

You never led me astray but Sword of Kaigen ended so bad. I loved it so much...but the last 100 pages were just...pfff no. It felt incomplete after those 100 pages. I understand the need of some of it...but it was too long. Those last 100 pages are keeping this book of my top tier list
