I think it’s just the fact that I’m assuming he sees your videos and sees you crying over the pain you/old you went through and I just can’t grasp how that’s not enough motivation to stop usually addicts have a breaking point and recover due to a realization and you’d think that you crying on the internet and being heartbroken would be his awakening :/

Yeah this :/ it took him to admit he has a problem and genuinely wanting to change, for me and himself. Therapy, apps, me being an accountability partner and no secrecy. Im fine w him recovering and telling me if he messes up but to hide it behind my back is not okay and i told him that. It takes work but im willing to make it work just bc i know its an issue many struggle with and id rather that than him lie to me

🌽 habit is not the same nor should be treated the same as a chemical dependency. sure deleting social media is good, a blocker can be helpful but Addiction meetings arent necessary, itd be more beneficial to tell your partner when your craving porn so you guys can talk through it and find alternatives that your both comfortable with. might this be uncomfortable? gut wrenching even? sure. but it doesn't matter, when u love someone you help and support them, not shame and criticize them.

To my knowledge he doesn’t. I said to him before I got with him “porn is cheating to me. I don’t know what your habits are but if it’s something you’re into it won’t work between us” and then he said “no I don’t/wont watch it” and I’ve never seen any sign he did or anything on his phone related to porn. So who knows until I find it I can’t be sure he does. I was his first girlfriend so he hasn’t been schooled in the field of games yet i believe
