This is amazing. Such a kind way to step back and be intentional instead of over analyzing

My therapist always tells me that there are no good or bad decisions, but rather does this decision align with who or what I want to be

So powerful! I’ve been asking myself “what to do” next with my career & reframing with “who do I want to be” just gave me so much clarity

my partner is going through career change and he worries about money/the future. when we are 3-5 years down the road I want him to remember me as supportive and loving no matter the circumstances. which means i need to tell him how much i respect his decisions and show him love in the ways he needs. thanks for this perspective! ☺️

With my kids I often think … what kind of parent did i need at this age? Which centers me back to calm, loving, understanding, and never yelling.

Makes sense to me, love this perspective. When deciding my work schedule, I think about how it affects my kids. I always want to be accessible and present for my kids.

When I was figuring out whether divorced my therapist prompted this same question to me. And I realized I wanted to be someone who was happy, and who wasn’t lonely in her own house. I wanted to be my own person for the first time in my life
