I have a 2018 5.0. I have to add a half quart every 1,500 miles. Is that about par for the course? Also I would get bad random misfires. Start up, leave work, drive home with misfires, eat dinner then leave an hour later to take kids to practices it would be fine. Got the TSB tune/reprogramming it has done it after 20k miles

My 2018 drank oil then I tried running Rotella T6 5w40 and liqui moly MOS2. After doing this my consumption went down massively.

hey, on the restore and protect do you just run it 4 oil changes then back to previous oil or run it from now on... I have a 2020 Nissan Titan SV 4x4 60k miles? I'm currently on 0w20 but plan to go to 5w30 any info would help thank you

I have a 2021 f150 5.0 17k miles and I notice oil coming out of exhaust ports on engine. No engine codes but never seen that before. Is that part of the oil consumption issues

I think there's a pcm update that makes the throttle blade stay open during deceleration so it doesn't have high vacuum during decel.

Ford dealership put new 5.0 in my 2020 cylinders were scored at 100k miles

I have 2020 with the 5.0 they replaced the engine. The old block was consuming 1 quart every 700miles meaning on the factory 6000 miles interval it would have ate its entire capacity. Luckily the new block that was put in 3 months ago has zero consumption

Guess I got lucky. My 2020 doesn't use anything between changes. 5000k oil changes.

Ford loves to over engineer the vehicles instead of just sleeving the cylinders likes it’s been done for years. Gotta plasma arch it to save money. Just like their moronic team putting inline electric water pumps for coolant controls

2001 5.4 used a quart every 1000 miles from day 1. I was fortunate in that i check my oil. Ford said that was within in spec.

My local ford dealership has already reprogrammed the pcm and the oil consumption is still there! Took the truck back to them they had it for 2 weeks told me there was no oil consumption issue and now a month and a half later the truck is 2 quarts low on oil again! Should I just get rid of the truck or keep trying to fight them to get the motor replaced?

my 2020 has used around 4 qts in 2800 miles. Timing syl. shutter caused me to troubkeshoot. Finding out it was way too low on oil. What do i do, file lemon law or sue personally.
