The hurricane itself was devastating, but what made it way worse was how unprepared the city and government were—especially how poorly they handled helping the most vulnerable people. The conspiracy theories mostly come from real anger and pain, which makes sense. When people feel ignored or treated unfairly, it’s natural to question if there’s something darker going on. But from what we know, it was more about neglect and bad planning than some secret plan. It’s a harsh reminder that disasters don’t hit everyone equally, and when the system fails, it’s always the people with the least who suffer the most.
