This is sticky grounds; wedding party is expected but not demanded to help. It’s a generous gesture to help your friend/family that you are apart of. Everyone knew of the wedding date so they should have put in thought to take off time before and after the wedding for setup and take down, sending off the couple, and so forth. I think it was just a little bit of misunderstanding and miscommunication. So live and learn.
