It’s called price gouging by association. • A $2 jump per item at Five Below is huge, especially considering their business model has always been about buying in bulk at dirt-cheap wholesale prices. That’s pure margin padding. If I were to guess, maybe 10–30 cents of that increase is real, and the other $1.70 is them seeing what customers will tolerate.
