Price gougers and scalpers make us look bad. Most of us are selling at market value and take lower offers most of the time anyway. And yes, we find “good stuff” largely in part bc we are researching brands that are in demand. Thrifting is a game of luck, for all of us, regardless.

I don’t hate resellers. A lot of my bags are from resellers. I do get really frustrated with price gouging. I understand they’re just doing what anyone would do when something goes viral but I won’t be buying those items. I don’t blame people that do but it’s not for me and that’s fine

i think we all know where i stand on this after this weeks incident lol. i fully support resellers getting their bag. I do think having these conversations and social pressure checks prices though. So i am against the community ban on talking about price within the groups, because the discussion can be a catalyst for market correction. but i think ill be moving away from them now that ive mostly reorganized my collection, and just post my pretty pictures 💘

What I don’t understand is people getting mad at resellers for reselling bags they found at their local thrift, as if those people would have been at that exact thrift store in their area. It’s called luck and being at the right place at the right time

I thrift and do the ugly digging, I go around every thrift store in the nicest areas near me… search and search…. Clean the items to perfection and should be paid for that - as well as pricing the item for a quarter of the retail price.

Some resellers are actually not greedy. They sell great bags of great quality for decent prices. It just depends because I feel some people are purposefully exploiting others. They have no interest in coach or fashion and they’re not even aware of how much bags ate worth. They go and grab up everything for as little as they can leaving nothing behind for others and hiking them up to crazy prices regardless of quality. Those are the people I don’t like
