@bionic.brunette: And this is why I’m making a documentary about health insurance that’s already sparking change! #affordablehealthcare #amputee #healthinsurance
I'M 👏 TIRED 👏 OF 👏 PAYING 👏 FOR 👏 TAX 👏 CUTS 👏 FOR👏 BILLIONAIRES 👏 I'm FINE with paying for something like this. I'd pay taxes so you can get 5 dang legs a year before I'd pay for another government bailout.

My biggest gripe is: Me: “Dr, I have this problem.” Dr: runs tests and comes up with a diagnosis… “here take this prescription”… pharmacy to insurance: “she needs this medicine” insurance: “Are you sure? Let’s ask the doctor. Denied until the Dr tells me you need it”

BCBS denied a surgery for my wife that allows her to walk. Reasoning of not being medically necessary. When appealed they responded we agree it works but we won't cover it. We had to pay out of pocket so she can walk.

I spend money each month on health insurance premium and then spend more money each month of a mental health psych/therapy subscription because there are no in network psychs in my area and it’s cheaper this way 🙃

I would be interested in how the nations with free health care cover prosthetics. Have you seen any comparisons?

Insurance ≠ CARE ‼️I don’t know why people are acting like we’re getting free healthcare, it’s STILL a for profit system! 💰 I can’t get the PT that might let me walk again but they’ll cover meds that make me sicker 🤨

Run, you want to run???? Nope, running is a luxury. And how about one per lifetime for a 3 year old? They aren’t allowed to grow 😬

I have to make sure I don’t work too much & put us just over the line of $200/month to $1000/month premiums. The lower premium covers a lot more, the higher covers bare minimum 7k deductible. We have more money because I work less.

im tired of paying $600/month for health insurance for them to only cover $40 on a dr visit and tell me I owe the rest as a "deductable"

My insurance bases all decisions on wheelchair coverage on use inside my house. Apparently I’m not supposed to go outside or work.

One of my bosses has been essentially bed ridden for almost 2 months because he has a deteriorating disc in his back among other issues. He's supposed to have gotten an epidural to fix a lot of the pain and get him back on his feet, but the appointment has now had to be rescheduled 3 TIMES because his insurance keeps finding reasons to avoid approving the procedure

I paid ~$800 for COBRA coverage to avoid any gaps in care. since I didn't get my new info in a timely manner, no one would accept my insurance. I had to cancel it and get separate insurance instead. Soooo it was $800 for quite literally nothing in return since all my appointments and medications weren't covered and I had to cancel since I couldn't afford out of pocket (because, you know, the $800 I had already spent).
