We came for the experience. Using the Second Niger Bridge for the first time on a bike? It’s a moment I won’t forget. The structure is massive. Elegant. Strong. But more than its engineering beauty, it's what it represents that matters. For years, the old Opiweka bridge known simply as the Niger Bridge was the only connection between the East and other parts of the country. And if you know anything about holiday season traffic or cross-country movement, you know how choked that bridge could get. But this new bridge changes everything. Riding across it was smooth. No bottleneck. No unnecessary hold-up. Just wide open space and an impressive view of the great River Niger. You could feel the calm that comes from improved infrastructure. The ease of movement.
