They didn’t mention because she was Black and a minor, she was forced to have a white legal guardian to “manage” her money and several guardians stole from her. Her finances were manipulated by adults around her, despite her legal ownership. While she lived “comfortably,”she never recovered the full value of her estate, and that generational wealth was lost due to exploitation and lack of legal protections for Black landowners. Mismanagement were the biggest reasons she didn’t maintain billionaire-level wealth. She was a child victim of systemic racism!
