The saddest thing about the whole situation is: in 2025 we shouldn’t be here but here we are- we cannot be complacent in our “complacency “ by allowing any South African to spew racist propaganda in the name of a joke for likes and “rage bait” because yes it’s exactly that getting likes and clicks. As a proud South African and a proud Coloured women I’m deeply offended and sad that these harmful and derogatory things have been said about us on a podcast seen by the world. why was this podcast even aired? Surely All involved knew this wasn’t right?? So why. This is inexcusable, it harms us all as people. This is bigotry and misinformation. There is big difference btw freedom of speech and what open cast did, there actions where intentional and they are not youths being “ignorant in their age” what they’ve done is set us back as a nation.

Would it be a stretch to look at some of the jokes that comedians say and claim it’s racist? For argument sake, when Trevor speaks a certain way or jokes about black people…is that racist? I’m not fighting just trying to understand better
