💔What was meant to be a simple weekend getaway turned into heartbreak.💔 Aidan Heartfield, a warm and thoughtful young man, drove to his family’s Hill Country home near the Guadalupe River with his longtime girlfriend, Ella Cahill, her college roommate Reese Manchaca, and their high school friend Joyce Catherine Badon. They grilled, laughed, and shared a late-night selfie around 1 a.m. By 4:30 a.m., rising floodwaters woke them. Aidan called his father, who urged them to get to higher ground. Moments later, chaos erupted. Aidan handed the phone to Joyce, saying he had to help Ella. Then came the scream— “Oh my God, they just got swept away.” Joyce’s final words: “Tell my parents I love them.” Then the line went silent. Joyce and Reese’s bodies have been recovered. Aidan and Ella are still missing. Rest in Peace Reese and I pray they find you Ella💔❤️‍🩹 STILL MISSING 💔 AIDEN HEARTFIELD .......................................... Aidan and Ella are still missing. Rest in Peace Reese and I pray they find you Ella💔❤️‍🩹 STILL MISSING 💔 AIDEN HEARTFIELD .......................................... UPDATE FROM AIDEN'S FATHER: I am on a mission to bring my son home: "I'll stay as long as it takes" Wed, July 9th 2025 J. Thad Heartfield's son, 22-year-old Aidan, who was a senior at Trinity University, is missing after the devastating floodwater rushed into his family's home in Hunt during the early morning hours of July 4. Aidan was at the home with his longtime girlfriend, 21-year-old Ella Cahill, and two other friends, Joyce Badon and Reese Manchaca, all 3 girls have been found deceased. He called his dad at 4 a.m. and told him the water had risen from four inches to four feet in one minute. Thad told him to get into the car and drive to higher ground, but Aidan said he had to help his friends in the rising water. He handed the phone to Joyce and the line quickly went dead. The bodies of the three women have been recovered. J. Thad Heartfield, a Beaumont attorney and son of a legendary federal judge, the late Thad Heartfield, rushed to Hunt the next day. "I'll stay as long as it takes to find Aidan and bring him back home," Thad told KFDM. "Dozens of volunteers are helping and we don't turn anyone away." They meet early each morning outside the Walmart in Kerrville. "We've searched from Kerrville to Comfort and we'll continue looking," said Thad. A large number of volunteers have turned out to help, some days as many as 125. "I do an orientation for new volunteers," Thad told us. "We've worked Camp Mystic to Ingram Dam at least three times from both sides looking for Aidan. The areas downriver from our house are a tangled mess. I've sent three teams to work that stretch all day. Today. we searched the Kerrville River Valley to Comfort. The teams work both ends toward each other." Thad believes a search will begin soon for the remaining victims, with the government organizing the effort and doing an intense sweep, a tight grid of about 80 people walking shoulder-to-shoulder searching for victims. "I know every parent would brag about their kids, but Aiden is a very kind and gentle soul, and I know that his spirit is motivating me to continue this search and stay strong," said Heartfield, "to organize these wonderful teams that are coming to our aid and the aid of all the other victims." ................................................. SAD UPDATE 💔 ELLA CAHILL FOUND DECEASED "Update: with heavy heart I am sharing that Ella was just found. Her family asks that we keep her memory in our hearts 💔💔" Beaumont fam we are still looking for Aidan Heartfield. While other precious souls have been recovered, her boyfriend Aidan are still missing. Hundreds of you have reached out asking how you can help other than praying. Here is how: Also, Mackenzie is asking for actual volunteers to help look for Aidan. If you are willing and able to volunteer in the Hunt area please message Mackenzie. Please do NOT contact her for any reason other than volunteering to help them find their missing loved ones. #texasflood #prayer #mccannfarmsnpeapie #viraltiktok #texas
